On February 7, BLACKPINK’s Rosé was known to have attended the Tokyo stop of Taylor Swift’s “The Eras” World Tour. The female idol had a great time in the “invited guest section”, even belting along to Taylor’s song.
However, some fans are advising Taylor Swift to avoid taking photos with Rosé at all cost, all due to a rather hilarious reason – a viral meme known as “The Rosé Curse Rumor”.
In particular, back in 2022, a Reddit user published a compilation of Rosé’s photos with Western celebrities. As it turns out, all these celebrities would later announce their breakup or divorce, leading to jokes about “The Rosé Curse”.
A TikTok video was even made about some of the couples that Rosé has allegedly “broken up”, gaining huge attention and prompting “The Rosé Curse” to become a well-known meme.
Later on in April 2023, news about Taylor Swift’s separation with Joe Alwyn was reported. At the time, netizens also dug up Rosé’s photo with Taylor, implying that the “The Rosé Curse” has striked once more.
Now that Taylor Swift is happily dating American athlete Travis Kelce, fans are apparently taking “preventative measures” by humorously telling Taylor to not take a photo with Rosé.
