September 14, 2025, marks the 5th anniversary of the tragic death of South Korean actress Oh In-hye, who passed away in 2020 at just 36 years old. Her untimely death left a deep void in the hearts of many fans and industry colleagues.
She was given emergency treatment, including CPR, and temporarily regained her breathing and pulse, but struggled to regain consciousness and never opened her eyes.
The police found that there were no evidence of murder through CCTV around Oh In Hye’s house. Through investigation, she was believed to have made an extreme choice. An autopsy was later performed to confirm the exact cause of Oh In Hye’s death. The investigation was closed after the autopsy concluded that she died of cardiac arrest due to suicide.
Oh In Hye made her debut in 2011 with the movie “Sin of a Family” and made her face known to the public with the movie “Red Vacance Black Wedding” released in the same year. In 2011, she drew attention at the 2011 Busan International Film Festival by wearing a shockingly revealing dress. After that, she made a sensation in the films “A Journey with Korean Masters” (2013), “Eating Talking Faucking” (2013), “Wish Taxi” (2013), “No Breathing” (2013), and “The Plan” (2014).
Although she was mostly active in the big screen, she also met TV viewers through the dramas such as “King’s Doctor” (2012) and “Drama Special – Return Home” (2012), and continued her activities through entertainment shows such as “Dating Except Me” (2017) and “Oh In Hye’s Secret” (2018).
Actress Oh In Hye fell asleep at Incheon Family Park.
