Joy, a member of Red Velvet, will return about two months after having to suspend activities due to poor health.
On June 20th, Red Velvet‘s official fan cafe announced the news of Joy’s official return. In particular, Red Velvet’s agency, SM Entertainment, stated, “Joy, who temporarily suspended her schedule to recover her condition and get sufficient rest, will resume all activities starting from the recording of the ‘Animal Farm’ program on June 21st.”
The entertainment agency also continued, “Joy has recovered her health significantly during the break and, after thorough discussions with the medical staff, has decided to return to activities. Her health condition is also reported to be good.”
Lastly, SM promised, “We would like to express our gratitude to all the fans who have shown great support and encouragement to Joy, and our company will also do our best to support her to work healthily in the future.”
Previously, on April 26th, Joy suspended all activities due to health issues ahead of Red Velvet’s world tour.
Meanwhile, Joy also temporarily halted her activities on the SBS program “Animal Farm”, where she had been active as a regular MC since 2021.
