Song Kang Ho will be starring in a K-drama for the first time since his debut, and Jin Ki Joo will be the female lead.
According to Sports Chosun on February 9th, Jin Ki Joo has confirmed her appearance in the upcoming drama “Uncle Samsik”.
“Uncle Samsik” is a drama about the passionate desire and romance of two men, Uncle Samsik and Kim San, who survived turbulent times in the early 1960s. It is also Song Kang Ho’s first drama after his debut, and actors Byun Yo Han, Lee Kyu Hyung, and Seo Hyun Woo are expected to be included in the cast lineup.
Here, Song Kang Ho will reportedly play the role of Uncle Samsik, while Byun Yo Han assumes the role of Kim San. On the other hand, Jin Ki Joo will transform into Joo Yeo Jin, the female lead of the K-drama, and work together with the two actors.
Jin Ki Joo, who debuted in the 2015 tvN drama “Second 20s”, has since appeared in notable works such as “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo”, “Come and Hug Me”, and “From Now On, Showtime!”.
“Uncle Samsik” will include a total of 10 episodes, and is currently under discussion for organization. Filming is also expected to start in the near future.
