With this, Ciipher will continue their activities under another agency, not Rain Company, and Rain will only meet them as a producer for album production. Rain came to the conclusion that a CEO with more expertise than him would be able to make Ciipher grow well.

Ciipher debuted in March 2021 and drew attention as the idol group produced by Rain. When Ciipher debuted, Rain said on a number of entertainment shows he appeared in, “Ciipher is what I’m risking my life for. The day Ciipher succeeds is the day I’m being reborn. It feels like I’m seeing myself 25 years ago.” He also revealed his generous investment on Ciipher’s production, saying, “It cost the price of a house.”

In addition, Rain featured his wife, Kim Tae Hee, in the music video for Ciipher’s debut title song “I Like You” and invited his best friend Lee Hyo Ri to appear in Ciipher’s YouTube content. Rain also hosted Cypher’s debut showcase and personally greeted reporters and fans.

It seems that Rain made a hard but best decision for the group, judging that it was a desperate situation after 1 year and 8 months of Ciipher’s debut.

Ciipher debuted in 2021 with the 1st mini album “I Like You” and has since been active with songs such as “Blind” and “Fame” until the third mini-album.
