"Queen of Tears" once again achieved its own highest viewership ratings

In episode 8 of tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Queen of Tears” (written by Park Ji-eun, directed by Jang Young-woo, Kim Hee-won), which aired on March 31st, Baek Hyun-woo’s (Kim Soo-hyun) struggles to protect Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji-won) shone as a black-hearted conspiracy aimed at the Queens surfaced. Baek Hyun-woo’s unwavering devotion to staying by his wife’s side despite ongoing difficulties touched the hearts of viewers.

Accordingly, episode 8 of “Queen of Tears” recorded an average of 17.9% and a peak of 20.2% in the Seoul metropolitan area, and an average of 16.1% and a peak of 18.2% nationwide. It not only achieved its own highest ratings for 4 consecutive weeks in both the Seoul metropolitan area and nationwide, but also secured the top spot in all channels during the same time slot, including terrestrial channels.

Moreover, regarding the 2049 (viewers aged 20~49) ratings, it recorded an average of 6.5% and a peak of 7.2% in the Seoul metropolitan area, as well as an average of 7.1% and a peak of 7.7% nationwide. The 2049 male and female viewership ratings also set new records, rising to the top spot in all channels during the same time slot, including terrestrial channels, both in the Seoul metropolitan area and nationwide (based on cable, IPTV and satellite integrated paid platform / provided by Nielsen Korea).

Continuing its high ratings streak, “Queen of Tears” is a 16-episode series, and its successor is “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” starring Jung Ryeo-won and Wi Ha-joon.
