“Queen of Tears” confirms casting lineup: From Kim Soo-hyun, Kim Ji-won to Lee Joo-bin

tvN’s new drama “Queen of Tears” (written by Park Ji-eun, directed by Jang Young-woo and Kim Hee-won) tells the miraculous, thrilling and humorous love story of a married couple who manage to survive a crisis and stay together against all odds.

Featuring a star-studded ensemble, the drama includes Kim Soo-hyun, Kim Ji-won, Park Sung-hoon, Kwak Dong-yeon, Lee Joo-bin and more. Kim Soo-hyun takes on the role of Baek Hyun-woo, the pride of Yongduri Village and the legal director of the Queens Group. Despite the envy of everyone, he faces an unexpected crisis in his third year of marriage to Hong Hae-in.

Kim Ji-won portrays Hong Hae-in, a third generation chaebol, the daughter of the Queens Group family. Married to Baek Hyun-woo, the son of a rural supermarket owner, she confronts unexpected challenges in her glamorous life. The chemistry between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won is expected to bring both excitement and touching moments to the screen.

Park Sung-hoon plays Yoon Eun-sung, an M&A specialist who was once a Wall Street analyst. Returning to Korea after a long overseas stay, he becomes connected with the Queens Group. His mysterious aura adds tension to the romance in the story.

Kwak Dong-yeon portrays Hong Su-cheol, the CEO of Queens Mart and Hong Hae-in’s younger brother. His pure and lively character, combined with Kwak Dong-yeon’s unique energy, is anticipated to inject vitality into the drama.

Lee Joo-bin takes on the role of Chun Da-hye, Hong Su-cheol’s beautiful wife. With her elegant and luxurious visuals as well as polite attitude, Chun Da-hye is adored by the elders of the Queens Group. Her presence promises to add another layer to the romance in the drama.

“Queen of Tears”, which is predicting the birth of a must-watch drama with a combination of interesting characters and story, trustworthy writer, directors and actors, will premiere in March.
