Psy revealed how he cast Song Joong-ki and BTS’s Suga.
In the 330th episode of JTBC’s entertainment show “Knowing Bros”, which aired on April 30th, singer Psy transferred to the Brother School.
On this day, Psy said that he could communicate well with the artists of his company – P Nation. He added, “Our artists are very strong-minded. Everyone is stubborn”. Psy’s company is managing Hyuna, Dawn, Jessi, Swings, etc.
When asked what the good thing about his company was, Psy said, “There are several good things. Since it’s only been 3 years since my company system was formed, I’m trying my best to help my artists. For example, I struggled to cast Song Joong-ki to appear in Heize’s ‘Happen’ music video, which was released not long ago. When the artist said, ‘I want this person to be in my music video’, I felt like she was asking me desperately”.
Various top stars participated in Psy‘s music videos. When asked about the person who would appear in this music video, Psy boasted, “Everyone knows him. Is this episode going to be broadcast on Saturday? It’s after the release, so viewers will all know. I co-produced the song with him. He also featured in it and appeared in the music video.” It was BTS Suga.
Psy recalled, “What was amazing was that those friends sometimes mentioned in interviews that they are thankful to me for changing the trend. I was just holding onto the thought that I’m very grateful that they thought of me, but I got a text message from an unknown number. ‘Senior, I’m Suga, please contact me.'”
Psy drew attention as he added, “I met him. He’s a performer, but he’s also good at writing songs. He produced for IU and Heize before. He said he wanted to give me a song as the end of his producing project. So at that time, he brought that beat. He asked me if I could sing this song, and I said, ‘Let’s do this.’ We worked together and did a featuring. I want to take this opportunity to say thank you.”
