“Propofol & marijuana suspicions”…The police announced Yoo Ah In’s current situation

The police, who are investigating actor Yoo Ah In’s alleged drug use, plan to summon Yoo Ah In as soon as the result of the National Forensic Service’s appraisal is released.

An official from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said at a regular press conference held in Jongno-gu, Seoul on Feb 13th, “We expect the National Forensic Service’s appraisal to take 2~3 weeks. When we are notified of the final appraisal result, we will summon Yoo Ah In to investigate.”

The official added, “We are not considering locating Yoo Ah In’s whereabouts at the moment, but we will see the result of the appraisal.”

Shortly after Yoo Ah In entered Korea from the United States on Feb 5th, his urine and hair were collected. The police requested the National Forensic Service for an appraisal. Afterwards, the National Forensic Service reportedly informed that Yoo Ah In’s urine tested positive for marijuana. The result of Yoo Ah In’s hair assessment has not yet been released.

The police launched an investigation based on the result of an investigation by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, which found that Yoo Ah In habitually used propofol.

Regarding this, Yoo Ah In’s agency UAA admitted on Feb 8th, Yoo Ah In recently received a police investigation regarding propofol. We are actively cooperating with all investigations related to this. We will actively explain the problematic parts.”

At the same time, they drew a line, “We have never heard anything about (Yoo Ah In) testing positive for marijuana.”
