“Produce 101” former trainee Jung Dong-soo apologized for the controversy over his private life

Jung Dong-soo, who competed in Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 2”, admitted his fault and apologized for his private life controversy.

On September 3rd, Jung Dong-soo posted on his SNS, saying “I sincerely apologize to those who have been offended and hurt by my immature wrongdoing”.

Regarding the allegation of him cursing at fans, Jung Dong-soo said, “I recently used inappropriate swear words emotionally in an instant to fans who have supported me for a long time and hurt them badly.”

Referring to the allegation of his suggestion of a private meeting with fans, he said, “I realized that I forgot what I should behave as a singer and made a completely big mistake asking fans to ‘play’, ‘drink alcohol’, and ‘come to my house’, which may be a threat to my fans.”

Jung Dong-soo bowed his head, saying “I’m so sorry. I regretted it right after waking up in the morning. I didn’t know that I made such a big mistake so I was very relieved that no one came. I did completely wrong. Apart from saying sorry, I have nothing more to say. Once again, I want to apologize to the people involved in this incident. You must have been so ashamed of my action.”

Lastly, he apologized, “I will admit all my faults, humbly accept all the criticism, reflect on myself and endure everything. I promise to become a better person”.

Meanwhile, Jung Dong-soo was embroiled in a private life controversy disclosed by a netizen. According to the released screenshotted DM, Jung Dong-soo kept cursing and using slang words when talking to fans. The controversy intensified as he was also exposed to have personally contacted fans and asked them to drink and spend time at his own house late at night.
