Police Officer Illegally Visited Singer’s House After Stealing Personal Information From Internal Network
Netizens are curious about the identity of the trot singer whose personal information was stolen by a female police officer
On June 5th, Yonhap News reported that female police officer A from Chungnam Police Station stole the personal information of a famous trot singer using the internal network. This female police officer in her 30s obtained the address of the trot singer’s home and visited the house illegally.
Although A did not cause any damage by the trot singer still reported A’s action to the police. The identity of this trot singer has not been disclosed, but Chungnam Police Station has already fired A and is looking into punishment for her. Under the Personal Information Protection Act, A may be sentenced to 5 years in prison or fined 50 million won.
There have been various cases in which celebrities’ personal information was stolen. An employee of the Korea Railroad Corporation illegally accessed BTS RM’s personal information and leaked it to his acquaintances so that they could buy tickets next to the male idol.
