Pocketdol Studio Refuted Yu Jun-won’s Accusations Regarding FANTASY BOYS’s Unfair Fees And Contract

Yu Jun-won appealed, and Pocketdol Studio refuted.

On the afternoon of October 17th, an interrogation was held at the Seoul Western District Court No. 417 in Gongdeok-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, to suspend the validity of the exclusive contract filed by Yu Jun-won against Picketdol Studio.

Yoo Joon-won said the reason why he did not sign the contract with Pocketdol Studio was not due to the profit distribution ratio, adding that the trust relationship was broken due to the agency’s insincere progress. “The contract was not first received by all members, and I could not understand why Chairman Kim Kwang-soo collected our cell phones,” he said. “Pocketdol forced us to pay excessive and inflated fixed costs, and he pressured us to sign the contract and charged us for golf entertainment, PR, and accounting team labor costs. As a result, I lost my trust, and it has become an irreparable situation.”

However, Picketdol Studio refuted, “Right now, he is insisting on just two things in his application form. Even now, he says, “It is unfair” and “We made an unfair request,” but then he cannot explain what is unfair among the contents of the exclusive contract annexation agreement presented by the debtor. There is no part other than the cost-related part. Looking at the contents, the subsidiary agreement itself proposed by the debtor is based on the standard contract disclosed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Even if you look at the contents once again, it is clear that there is no unfair content at all. If you calculate the cost part, he will pay about 2.7 million won per month. That doesn’t mean he has to pay every month, but if revenue occurs, you will deduct it from there. These contents are all included in all celebrities’ contracts. The standard contract also requires deducting expenses and allocating what’s left, so we don’t understand his basis for saying this is unfair.” The company also said, “He didn’t properly check his performance contract and said that the Japanese concert was an unfair treatment, but he agreed to do a Japanese concert when he was on the show.

After the trial, Yu Jun-won’s side told Star News, “At the moment, the other party’s position came out too late, so we also need to refute it, so we asked for a deadline. We plan to submit a document that can fully explain our position.

Yu Jun-won was scheduled to debut as a member of the 12-member rookie boy group Fantasy Boys on September 21st after ranking first in MBC’s survival audition program of the same name. However, on August 23, Pocketdol Studio, the production company of the show, reported that Fantasy Boys will be reorganized into an 11-member system. The agency then said they discussed the contract with Yu Jun-won and his parents several times, but they asked for a revision of the contract, demanding an increase in the profit distribution rate by comparing it with other members.

Yu Jun-won then disclosed the agreement proposed by Pocketdol Studio, accusing the company of unfair requests.

Amid sharp disagreement between the two sides, Pockeydol Studio eventually filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Central District Court on the 13th of last month seeking 3 billion won in damages against the idol.
