“Physical: 100” is over, but the scars remain forever.
“Physical: 100” can be said to have achieved significant results, but even after the show ended, a feeling of discomfort and bitterness remains because there is no significant answer to numerous controversies.
From the beginning, there were gossips such as controversy over the battle of the sexes between Park Hyung Geun and Kim Chun Ri and controversy over sexual harassment comments towards Kim Chun Ri.
Besides, suspicions of a participant’s school violence were raised on Feb 14th. A, who claimed to be a victim, exposed, “I was abused by B, a cast member of ‘Physical: 100’. I attended the same middle school as B. B was famous as a member of a group of girls who know to have fun at school. This group asked me and my friends to give them about 10,000~20,000 won once a week. For about 7~8 months, the money given to B’s group amounted to hundreds of thousands of won.”
Afterwards, according to a media outlet on Feb 20th, C, a male cast member who appeared on “Physical: 100”, was sent to the prosecution on charges of threatening his ex-girlfriend. C is accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend with his self-harm actions. In particular, when C’s ex-girlfriend said she wanted to break up with him, C reportedly punched his face several times and hit his head on the desk and wall, threatening her to give up the breakup decision and continue dating him.
Outside of the program, it is also noisy. Due to the production controversy of “Physical: 100”, production companies Ascendio and Luyworks are at odds. Ascendio said “It’s true that we participated in the production of ‘Physical: 100′”, and Luyworks refuted this.
Luyworks stated, “The information that Ascendio participated in ‘Physical: 100’ is not true. They only said they would invest in item planning and development in the early stages.”
