“Physical 100” Chun Ri to sue malicious commenters, “They zoomed in on parts of my body and made shocking sexual harassment comments”
Kim Chun Ri, a female bodybuilder in Netflix’s “Physical 100”, took legal action against sexual harassment comments.
On February 7th, Chun Ri angrily said, “I’ve endured various malicious comments, and putting up with writings that exaggerate specific parts of my body and ‘cuts’ my body like cutting a fish on a cutting board is very tiring”, adding, “What did I do wrong? I’ve done my best as a bodybuilder while practicing my favorite sports for nearly 20 years. There’s nothing to talk about me so you zoom in on my body parts and discuss them, right?”
She continued, “I was sexually harassed. An acquaintance called to tell me about posts made by someone a few years ago. Now I know it”, adding “They uploaded my pictures online and enlarged a certain part of my body and wrote comments that sexually harassed me. I felt so miserable and shocked by the humiliation. Men like you may even sexually harass your mother or your daughter”.
Revealing her plan to sue malicious commenters, Chun Ri said, “I will meet my lawyer tomorrow and proceed with legal actions. I will sue you all. Other people who commented on the picture will also be sued”, adding “It’s no use deleting your comments now. I’ve already made a copy and even those who already deleted your posts, I’ve done everything to recover and find them. This is not the first time I’ve sued malicious comments, so I know very well how to do it now. The reason I make this post is that it can only proceed if I publicly reveal that I’m taking legal action. Have a good night to those who sexually harassed me and malicious commenters♡.”
Chun Ri also revealed her current feelings, saying “I can’t even eat well because of those malicious comments. I was very shocked”.
Chun Ri is a female bodybuilder with an overwhelming physique who had a battle with martial arts player Park Hyung Geun in “Physical 100”. Controversy over sexual harassment arose after the fight in which Park Hyung Geun attacked Chun Ri on her chest was broadcasted. In response, Chun Ri criticized excessive controversies, saying “It was the place where men and women risk their lives to get 300 million won in prize money”, adding “All participants knew that they would compete in such games regardless of gender and played according to the game rules”.
Meanwhile, Netflix’s “Physical 100” is a program that carries out extreme physical games that are reminiscent of Netflix’s K-drama “Squid Game”. It gained keen interest from global viewers and entered TOP 5 in the global chart right after it was released.
