“Personality controversy” Ahn Bo Hyun, the truth revealed by the staff in the video “Please stop forced claims, malicious comments and articles”
While actor Ahn Bo Hyun was embroiled in an unseasonable suspicion that he treated a staff member badly in a behind-the-scenes video of tvN’s drama “Yumi’s Cells”, the staff in the video said, “I feel unfair and upset.“
Ahn Bo Hyun recently stood at the center of unseasonable suspicion when video captures taken at the filming site of “Yumi’s Cells” went around online communities. With Ahn Bo Hyun standing and a female staff member standing next to him holding a script, some raised controversy by making unconfirmed forced claims that Ahn Bo Hyun ordered the staff member to “take care of his script”.
SPOTV News asked around the staff member who appeared in the video to confirm the authenticity of the suspicions. The staff member responded to SPOTV News’ interview request after much consideration.
A, who appeared in the video, was Ahn Bo Hyun’s costume stylist at the time of filming “Yumi’s Cells”. A said, “I feel unfair and upset because of the ridiculous contents of ‘personality controversy’ and ‘taking care of the script’.“
A explained why she had a hard time responding to the interview with SPOTV News, “I want to explain the situation back then in person. The photos in the article are blurred, but I’m upset and scared by my photos that keep coming up. However, I think (Ahn) Bo Hyun will also have a hard time, so I’m going to share stories courageously.“
A said, “While filming ‘Yumi’s Cells’, I had fun filming with (Ahn) Bo Hyun as close older brother – younger sister. Among the making videos, that video was filmed for a short time, so it became a problem.”
She explained the situation at the time, “At that time, there was always a sudden schedule change during filming rehearsals. I was showing (Ahn) Bo Hyun the script and informing him about the schedule change. The scene where I was checking the changed schedule on my phone and explaining the script was captured.“
A was frustrated with the suspicion, saying it was a “ridiculous story”. One scene captured at the moment was maliciously distorted, spread in an instant through various SNS.
In particular, A was heartbroken that this incident spread to Ahn Bo Hyun’s so-called “personality controversy”.
She praised Ahn Bo Hyun’s personality, “As a staff member who shared joys and sorrows with Ahn Bo Hyun for a long time, he’s a really good person. Even when difficult situations arose during filming, we discussed and solved the problems together. He cares about and takes care of every little thing. He always gives bright energy to all the staff.“
A added, “I’m really upset that bad posts and articles are uploaded after interpreting that short video maliciously. Ahn Bo Hyun never made me hold the script. I just showed him the script to explain the schedule. I hope you’ll stop making forced claims, malicious comments and articles about Ahn Bo Hyun such as ‘personality controversy’ and ‘taking care of the script’.“
