PD Na Young-seok, 300 million won fine? CARATs are showing enthusiastic response to SEVENTEEN Dino’s solo spoiler
PD Na Young-seok (Na PD) was taken aback after inadvertently giving a spoiler about SEVENTEEN Dino’s solo debut
On Oct 16th, a video featuring Na PD and SEVENTEEN was posted on the YouTube channel “Channel 15ya”.
In the live video, Na PD announced, “We had dinner with SEVENTEEN for a broadcast. Following our channel’s new content ‘Nattering with Na’, we’ve launched ‘Waggle Waggle’.“
Na PD explained the reason for the live broadcast, “After dinner, we’re all about to leave, but before that, we wanted to say goodbye to our subscribers, so we turned on the broadcast.“
Then, SEVENTEEN members appeared, urging viewers to look forward to “Waggle Waggle”.
SEVENTEEN will make a comeback on Oct 23rd with their 11th mini-album “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN”. The album surpassed 4.67 million pre-orders even before its release, breaking previous records for SEVENTEEN’s albums and garnering significant attention.
The album includes 8 tracks, starting with “SOS” produced by the world-famous DJ Marshmello. Other tracks include the title song “God of Music”, “Diamond Days”, “Back 2 Back” (performance team), “Monster” (hip-hop team), “Yawn” (vocal team), “Headliner” and “God of Music (Inst.)”. The team’s main producer, Woozi, along with S.Coups, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon participated in writing and composing the tracks.
Jeonghan heralded, “We filmed the new song challenge with Young-seok hyung (Na PD).” Regarding this, the members said, “Please look forward to it.“
When asked if he remembers the “Super” challenge, Na PD humorously replied, “I forgot.”
SEVENTEEN’s leader, S.Coups, sustained a tear to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the left knee during a shoot in August. Following medical advice, he underwent surgery and has been focusing on rest and rehabilitation.
At the end of the broadcast, Mingyu promoted SEVENTEEN’s full-group comeback on Oct 23rd by saying, “Oct 23rd SEVENTEEN ‘God of Music’.“
Na PD then asked, “Now, should we talk about Dino’s?” Hearing this, Mingyu replied “No, we shouldn’t talk about this. What are you doing, hyung?” with a bewildered expression.
The broadcast concluded with SEVENTEEN members’ surprised reactions. The production team did not release the spoiler part in the replay video.
After the broadcast, “Dino Solo” and “Na PD-nim” trended at the top of real-time trends on SNS, especially Twitter, as fans speculated about Dino’s solo song release.
It’s worth noting that Na PD joked that he was in danger of paying a 300 million won fine, referencing SEVENTEEN’s rule that states a 300 million won fine for spoilers.
