*Actress Park So-dam was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer and is recovering after undergoing surgery.
Park So-dam was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer during a regular health checkup in mid-November and underwent a surgery on December 9th. As a result, the press conference of “Special Cargo”, starring Park So-dam, was canceled. Moreover, the release of “Special Cargo” was also postponed from January 5th to January 12th, considering the pandemic spread and other film competitors. Accordingly, Park So-dam said as she played a lead role, she felt sorry and disappointed for not being able to do the promotion activities ahead of the release of “Special Cargo”. After the movie “Ghost”, Park So Dam was said to have recently reviewed a drama as her next project. “Dog Days” is a movie about people who connected through dogs at an animal hospital, getting to know each other, comforting each other, and sharing their hearts. “Dog Days” is the debut film of director Kim Deok-min, who used to work as a supporting director for “Hero” and “Keys to the Heart”. CJ ENM bought the remake copyright and planned for the production to be carried out by JK Film. Kim Seon-ho was originally scheduled to appear, but he dropped out earlier due to the controversy over his private life. The filming for “Dog Days” will start at the end of December.
*Ahn Bo-hyun joins movie “2 O’Clock Date” after Kim Seon-ho’s withdrawal
“2 O’Clock Date” is a romantic comedy about a warm and fairytale-like story that takes place every day when an upstairs man meets a downstairs woman who has a hidden secret. “Exit” director Lee Sang-geun and production company Filmmaker R&K will once again work together to make this film. Im Yoon-ah will appear in “2 O’Clock Date”, following “Exit”, and is expected to show her lovely acting as the downstairs woman who has a secret. Initially, Kim Seon-ho was scheduled to appear in this project as the upstairs man, but he left the cast due to his ‘private life’ controversy. Therefore, Ahn Bo-hyun will take on the male lead role to fill in the vacancy of Kim Seon-ho. The filming is set to start its filming in April 2022.
