Park Shin-hye’s “Doctor Slump” soared from 9th to 1st place in Netflix global TOP 10 TV series category (non-English)

According to the Netflix TOP 10 official website on Feb 7th, JTBC’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Doctor Slump” recorded 2.9 million views and 10.2 million viewing hours from Jan 29th to Feb 4th, ranking first in the Netflix global TOP 10 TV series category (non-English). It soared from 9th to 1st place in just one week.

In its second week of release, “Doctor Slump” claimed the top spot in 9 regions including Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. It also made it to the top 10 in a total of 31 countries.

Starring Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik, “Doctor Slump” is a romantic comedy about the hate turned to love relationship of Nam Ha-neul (Park Shin-hye) and Yeo Jeong-woo (Park Hyung-sik) who had promising prospects in their careers, but fell into a slump due to different circumstances. Park Shin-hye, who plays the anesthesiologist Nam Ha-neul, and Park Hyung-sik, who plays the plastic surgeon Yeo Jeong-woo, reunited 11 years after “The Heirs”. “Rom-com queen” Park Shin-hye’s return to the small screen after 3 years garnered attention.
