Park Seo-joon, Jung Yu-mi and Choi Woo-sik expected to join “Jinny’s Kitchen 2” together “Coordinating schedules is key”

Actors Park Seo-joon, Jung Yu-mi and Choi Woo-sik are expected to join "Jinny's Kitchen" Season 2 together. However, scheduling coordination due to long-term overseas filming is key

According to Star News on Feb 16th, Park Seo-joon, Jung Yu-mi and Choi Woo-sik plan to join tvN’s variety show “Jinny’s Kitchen” Season 2. PD Na Young-seok is directly communicating with the cast and proceeding with the casting. All three have expressed their intention to participate in Season 2, following Season 1. As they have built a solid teamwork while collaborating on PD Na Young-seok’s representative hits such as “Youn’s Kitchen” and “Youn’s Stay”, there is a strong determination to participate.

“Jinny’s Kitchen” is a program that follows actor Lee Seo-jin, who was promoted from server, cashier, barista at “Youn’s Kitchen” to president, as he opens a small snack bar abroad and runs the shop. Originating as a spin-off of “Youn’s Kitchen”, “Jinny’s Kitchen” attracted a lot of attention with top stars such as Lee Seo-jin, Jung Yu-mi, Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-sik and BTS’s V making appearances. Despite some disappointment compared to high expectations, it showed favorable ratings ranging from 6% to 9% (based on Nielsen Korea’s paid households) during its broadcast period from February to May last year.

The production team of “Jinny’s Kitchen” plans to travel to Iceland for Season 2 filming in March. However, members need specific schedule adjustments. They are all top actors currently active in the domestic scene, so it’s not easy for them to clear their schedules for an extended period.

Park Seo-joon has advertising shoots scheduled for early to mid-March. Jung Yu-mi, although taking a break from acting activities, needs to adjust previously scheduled advertising and photoshoots. Choi Woo-sik is preparing for the first filming of his new drama “Melo Movie” at the end of March. If circumstances allow, there is a possibility that he may join midway through filming, as was the case in Season 1. An official told Star News, “The members have already discussed joining ‘Jinny’s Kitchen’ Season 2 together. However, as ‘Jinny’s Kitchen’ requires filming overseas for about 2 weeks and all members are busy actors with packed schedules, meticulous adjustments are necessary.”

Meanwhile, V, who played the role of the youngest intern in Season 1, will not be able to join Season 2 due to his military enlistment.
