It has been confirmed that Chanel asked actors Park Seo Joon and Park Hyung Sik to not do heart poses at the recent event.
According to data obtained by CBS No Cut News on August 8th, Chanel requested people who attended the photocall of the “Tweed de Chanel” event to make “chic and natural poses”. In their official notice, Chanel stated, “Poses, such as finger heart, cheek heart and V sign, do not suit the event”.
Apart from Park Seo Joon and Park Hyung Sik, many others also refrained from doing heart poses during the photocall in accordance with the rules set by the brand. However, attendees began to do heart poses at reporters’ request in the latter part of the event when the atmosphere became more relaxed.
Park Seo Joon and Park Hyung Sik attended Tweed de Chanel High Jewelry Collection event held on August 27th. However, the two were criticized by reporters for refusing to make heart poses.
According to videos taken from the scene, Park Seo Joon did not make any pose despite continuous requests for finger hearts. Park Hyung Sik made a half-heart but refused to do the cheek heart. He told the reports, “I did not receive any notice beforehand”, then wrapped up the shoot. Considering the fact that Park Seo Joon is currently working as an ambassador for Chanel, he seems to have followed the rules more strictly.
The controversy intensified as Park Seo Joon also refused to wear a headband at the stage greeting of the new movie “Concrete Utopia”.
As a result, the actor posted on his fancafe on the 7th, explaining, “Hairspray was used a lot to fix my hair so that it would not move. If I wear anything on my head in that state, my scalp would hurt a lot”. Regarding his refusal of the finger heart pose, Park Seo Joon said, “The brand asked me to avoid doing heart poses, and I just tried to do as their request”.
