Park Seo Hwi is rapidly gaining attention across Korean online communities for her astonishing and unconventional life story—one that spans from K-pop idol to sports announcer, model, entrepreneur, and now, a practicing shaman.

Born in 1993, Park Seo Hwi first stood out during her university days at Korea University, where she earned the title “ulzzang” thanks to her striking visuals and outgoing personality. In 2013, she debuted as A-Yul in the girl group LPG. However, the group failed to achieve mainstream success, and she left in 2014 before briefly pursuing solo music activities.

That same year, she pivoted into broadcasting, beginning an 11-year career as a sports announcer and commentator. She worked with major networks such as SPOTV, Yonhap News TV, and Arirang TV, covering baseball games and even esports like League of Legends. Her resume continued to expand as she also contributed as a magazine editor.

Never one to stay in a single lane, Park Seo Hwi transitioned again in 2019, becoming a fitness model and winning awards at international competitions. She also explored acting through minor roles. By 2024, she added yet another title to her name—futsal referee, officially obtaining certification and participating in sports variety programs while joining FC Anaconda.

In 2025, she ventured into business, opening a Korean BBQ restaurant in Suwon, which reportedly performed steadily with support from fans and former colleagues.

However, her most shocking transformation came in 2026, when she entered the spiritual world and became a shaman. Explaining her decision, Park revealed: “I kept dreaming about my family members dying. The dreams were so vivid that I would wake up screaming and crying.” After consulting a fortune teller, she was told she possessed strong spiritual energy and needed to undergo initiation rituals to prevent these dreams from becoming reality.
Her decision deeply affected her family, especially her father, who reportedly broke down in tears during her initiation ceremony. “I feel like I’ve become a sinner in my parents’ eyes,” she shared, revealing the emotional weight behind her choice.
Despite the drastic career shift, Park Seo Hwi continues to stay active online as an influencer and content creator. She is fluent in five languages—Korean, English, French, Japanese, and Chinese—and even holds a 4th-degree black belt in Taekwondo, along with 12 professional certifications across various fields.

Reflecting on her multifaceted life, she stated: “I’ve done five jobs at once before. There’s almost no part-time job I haven’t tried. I don’t have a fixed career goal—I just pursue my dreams as Park Seo Hwi.”

Her story is now being widely discussed as a rare example of a modern “multi-career” figure in Korea—someone who constantly reinvents herself, no matter how unexpected the path may be.
