Park Na Rae has been spotted for the first time since stepping back from broadcast activities, quietly attending a traditional Korean alcohol brewing academy in central Seoul. Despite freezing temperatures that dropped to minus 12 degrees Celsius on the evening of January 21, the comedian appeared determined to continue learning and maintaining a routine during a difficult period in her life.
Wearing a mask, a shearling coat, and a bucket hat pulled low to avoid attention, Park Na Rae arrived by taxi with a male acquaintance believed to be a close friend who has been supporting her since she effectively parted ways with her former manager. The man, described as tall and well-groomed, stayed by her side as she entered the academy discreetly.

Briefly greeting reporters, Park Na Rae explained that she had come for class and needed to head inside immediately. When asked what she was studying, she smiled and replied, “I have to do something,” a short but telling comment that reflected her current mindset. She declined to comment further on the ongoing legal dispute involving allegations of embezzlement against a former manager, choosing instead to keep her focus on her studies.
The academy Park Na Rae attends specializes in teaching brewing techniques for traditional Korean liquors such as makgeolli and dongdongju, while also offering courses on spirits like baijiu and wine. Programs range from one-day introductory classes to advanced hands-on brewing courses. According to sources, Park Na Rae has been enrolled in makgeolli-making lessons and attends classes once a week, returning on this particular day after missing the previous session due to personal reasons.
Her companion explained that Park Na Rae is going through an emotionally challenging time and carefully chose an activity that would allow her to concentrate and regain stability. He added that studying in a focused environment has helped her cope and that she is also preparing diligently to cooperate with upcoming police investigations related to her case.

Park Na Rae spent approximately an hour and a half in class before quietly leaving the academy and returning home with her acquaintance. Her dedication to learning comes as no surprise to longtime viewers, as she has previously showcased a wide range of hobbies on television, from cooking and interior design to gardening, floral arrangement, and even earning a sommelier certification on MBC’s I Live Alone.
Meanwhile, Park Na Rae has been embroiled in legal disputes with two former managers since early December. Following the controversy, she announced a halt to her entertainment activities. One former manager is reportedly staying in the United States, while the other briefly found work as a girl group manager before resigning as the situation escalated. Despite the uncertainty, Park Na Rae appears to be focusing on personal growth and resilience as she navigates this challenging chapter.
