“He has no manners” vs “He might not know”… Park Myung-soo caused a stir as he mentioned Jessica on Girls Generation’s 15th anniversary

A heated debate among netizens was recently raised after Park Myung-soo mentioned Jessica, a former member of Girls’ Generation.

The August 12th broadcast of KBS CoolFM’s “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show” talked about the “Girl group BEST 5” ranking prepared by big data expert Jeon Min-ki.

According to the BEST 5 girl groups announced by expert Jeon Min-ki, BLACKPINK ranked 1st place, followed by No.2 IVE, No.3 aespa, No.4 Girls’ Generation, and No.5 2NE1.

While talking about Girls’ Generation, which was announced in 4th place, Jeon Min-ki said, “Even Seo-hyun is over 30. It’s so amazing that they have just made a group comeback in celebration of their 15th anniversary”.

Park Myung-soo then said, “Not long ago, Soo-young came here and she said she gets exhausted more easily than before. Of course, it’s weird to not feel tired but she’s much more experienced now.”

In addition, Park Myung-soo mentioned Jessica, a former member of Girls’ Generation, and said, “I got to know Jessica after singing the song ‘Naengmyeon’ with her on ‘Infinite Challenge’”.

Some netizens responded negatively to Park Myung-soo’s remark, saying “Why did he mention a member who left Girls’ Generation on the group’s 15th anniversary?”, “He has no manners for the other members of the group”, “I actually feel a bit uncomfortable”, etc.

On the other hand, other Internet users reacted enthusiastically, saying “It’s not a problem because they’ve known each other for a long time”, “It just reminds me of the old memories”, “He might not know that she left the group”, etc.

Jessica, who debuted through Girls’ Generation’s single album “Into The New World” in 2007, left the group after finishing her last activities in 2014. Since then, she has been active as a designer and a Youtuber.

Jessica recently joined a five-member group and made her re-debut after ranking 2nd place in the finals of “Sisters Who Make Waves Season 3”.
