On September 1, Park Min-young attended the press conference for TV CHOSUN’s new weekend mini-series Confidence Queen at Stanford Hotel in Sangam, Seoul.
Park Min-young captivated the crowd in a beige-toned dress that highlighted her slim silhouette, once again proving why she’s often called the “wannabe fit” icon.
However, reactions to her appearance were mixed. While many praised her beauty with comments like “She’s still stunning” and “Park Min-young never disappoints,” others expressed worry, saying she looked “a bit too thin,” sparking concerns about her health.
In the drama, Park Min-young plays Yoon Yi-rang, the leader of the “Confidence Man Team.” Her character is depicted as a genius with wealth, intelligence, and captivating beauty, deceiving only the corrupt to deliver justice. This role marks a departure from her usual lovely image, showcasing a new charm.
The production team added, “Once the show airs, people will naturally say, ‘Park Min-young did it again.’ Her diverse fashion choices in the drama will also be a major highlight for viewers.”
Since her debut in the 2006 sitcom High Kick!, Park Min-young has become an irreplaceable rom-com queen through hit dramas like Sungkyunkwan Scandal, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Her Private Life, and Marry My Husband.
Meanwhile, Park Min-young has faced personal controversies in the past. In 2022, her relationship with Mr. Kang, the alleged hidden owner of a cryptocurrency exchange accused of embezzlement and stock manipulation, became a major scandal. Just two days after the news broke, Park Min-young ended the relationship, with her agency clarifying that “she did not receive any financial support from him.”
