Park Min Young’s agency, Hook Entertainment, was raided earlier today.
On November 10th, the Serious Crimes Investigation Division of Korea’s National Police Agency raided the office building of Hook Entertainment located in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The sudden raid was conducted from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. KST.
As it is extremely rare for the police to raid entertainment agencies, the news caused great surprise, but the exact reason for the raid has not yet been revealed.
In response, SBS Entertainment News explained, “Recently, three publicly traded companies related to Park Min Young’s ex-boyfriend Kang Jong-hyun have been raided. However, some entertainment industry insiders know that the raid has nothing to do with Kang Jong Hyun’s situation. It is an internal management problem.“
Hook Entertainment manages singer Lee Seon Hee, actors Lee Seo Jin, Park Min Young, Lee Seung Gi, and Youn Yuh Jung.
Earlier, on October 27th, Prosecutor Chae Hee Man, head of the Financial Investigation Division 2 of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office, announced that Kang Jong Hyun, who was pointed out as a key figure in the embezzlement of Bithumb, was banned from leaving the country and it is being considered when to summon him.
