Actor Park Jung Min and BLACKPINK Jisoo will become a “military boots and rubber shoes” couple.
According to broadcasting circles, Park Jung Min and Jisoo were cast for the lead roles in Coupang Play’s new series “Influenza” (written by Han Ji Won, Ji Ho Jin, directed by Yoon Seong Hyun).
“Influenza” is a drama depicting the process of soldier Jae Yoon and his girlfriend Young Joo fighting against a horde of zombies and running towards each other against the background of an air defense unit in a high-rise building in Seoul. It is based on the novel of the same name by Han Sang Woon.
Park Jung Min will play Jae Yoon, who enlisted late at the age of 26 after seeking alternative service through employment in the defense industry. He says goodbye to his girlfriend in anxiety about the future and faces a world turned upside down by a horde of zombies. He was weak and lacked confidence, but as he fights the zombies, he gradually begins to be active as the leader of the squad.
Jisoo will take on the role of Young Joo, a newbie in society. She is notified of the farewell after struggling because of Jae Yoon, who does not understand her feelings. As she sets out to meet her boyfriend, she sees the zombie outbreak and gradually becomes stronger in the fight for survival.
