Park Jin Young, “Dating? Why? I’m going to enlist in the military anyway. It’s too burdensome.”
Actor Park Jin Young (GOT7) drew a line to dating.
Park Jin Young had an interview to mark the release of the movie “A Christmas Carol” and looked back on this year.
During the interview, he said, “At the beginning of this year, I set the goal to do many works. Since I’m in my late 20s, I wanted to leave many records before enlisting in the military. I’ve achieved my goal”, adding “Looking back on my 20s, I have no regrets. There were times when I wandered and felt exhausted, but I did my best in everything. I can’t believe I’m about to turn 30. I can feel it every time someone calls me ‘senior’”.
Revealing that he often spends time at home or goes to the movies when having free time, Park Jin Young said, “I like going to the cinema. I buy a ticket and sit in the back seat. ‘Ah, I got a good seat today!’, that feeling makes me feel good every time”, adding “I also like drinking with my friends. I don’t have a good alcohol tolerance, but I like drinking soju while chatting.”
Regarding his plan for Christmas, the actor said, “It depends on the filming schedule of the drama ‘The Witch’. If there is no filming, I think I will visit my hometown and spend time with my family since it’s my last Christmas before joining the military.”
When asked, “Why don’t you go on a date?”, Park Jin Young said, “I should be dating, but I don’t have time for that”. He added, “I’ll have to enlist soon… So what? Why should I date at this time?”, drawing laughter with his realistic answer.
He continued, “It’s too burdensome for someone to come and form a relationship with me. I also think dating right before my enlistment is quite irresponsible. I’ll try after I’m discharged from the military. But I think my fans will understand this since I’ll be in my 30s. I’m sorry, Ahgases (GOT7’s fandom) (bows his head)”
“A Christmas Carol” (written/directed by Kim Sung Soo), starring Park Jin Young, is based on a novel of the same name by Joo Won Kyu. It’s an action thriller film that begins when older brother Il Woo enters the juvenile detention center himself to take revenge after the death of his twin brother Wol Woo and faces a gang there. Park Jin Young will be playing a double role as Wol Woo and Il Woo at the same time. The movie will premiere on December 7th.
