Constant unfavorable factors… Park Hyo-shin’s photo was illegally exploited in an advertisement for “Sexual Crimes Attorney”
It was revealed that a photo of singer Park Hyo-shin was used illegally in a sex crime attorney advertisement by a law firm.
According to a report by Yonhap News Agency on July 8th, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in the second trial of the compensation claiming lawsuit that law firm A needs to pay 30 million won to Park Hyo-shin for using Park Hyo-shin’s photo without permission. This is the same result as the first trial.
According to reports, law firm A used Park Hyo-shin’s photo without permission to advertise an Internet site that provides attorneys specializes in sex crime cases in 2019. The photo is known to include phrases such as “New Public Defense” and “The 100 Best Successful Cases,” and the advertisement’s traffic has reached 1,481,787 views between September 29th, 2019 and October 16th of the same year.
This is not the only time Park Hyo-shin has been in court. In April, Park Hyo-shin is known to have been in a legal fight with his agency since last year as he hasn’t received his parts in the music revenue and down payment.
At the time, he told his fan club Soultree, “I never imagined that I would be unable to do any activities since my 2019 Lovers concert,” adding, “I haven’t received my settlement money including the concert settlement money, which had been delayed more and more, and I haven’t received any of my music revenue and exclusive down payment for the past three years.”
Park Hyo-shin is considered one of the talented vocalists representing Korea and has been loved steadily since his debut in 1999. However, continuing legal disputes, such as contract problems with his agency and charges of fraud, continued to hamper him.
