On September 14, Park Hee Soon shared photos on his personal account along with the caption, “Today’s makeup show: elderly makeup, six hours.” The images revealed sagging skin, deep wrinkles, white eyebrows, and age spots so realistic that he looked unrecognizable. His transformation was so striking that fellow actors Park Byung Eun and Lee Min Jung reacted with comments like “Amazing” and “Oh my gosh.”

Currently starring as James in TV Chosun’s drama Confidence Queen, Park donned the elderly look in episode four. In the storyline, James (played by Park) teams up with Yoon Yi Rang (Park Min Young) and Myung Gu Ho (Joo Jong Hyuk) to con Yoo Myung Han (Lee Yi Kyung). Disguised as a rural farmer named Cheon Jong Yeop, Park flawlessly used a rustic dialect to play along with the scam.

To embody the role, Park endured an exhausting six-hour makeup process. His dedication paid off, as viewers praised his impeccable comedic performance.

The production team expressed their gratitude, saying, “Despite the long and difficult makeup sessions, Park Hee Soon approached filming with positivity and humor. We’re also thankful to Park Min Young and Joo Jong Hyuk for their excellent synergy on set.”

Confidence Queen follows three con artists, each with distinct charms, who use outlandish schemes to swindle money from people blinded by greed and desire. The drama airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. on TV Chosun.
