Park Hae-soo “Participating in ‘Whales and I’, I’m proud of being able to exert a positive influence”

Actor Park Hae-soo shared his thoughts on participating as a documentary narrator

At the press conference of SBS’s special documentary “Whales and I” held at Paradise Art Space in Unseo-dong, Incheon on the afternoon of Nov 17th, Park Hae-soo said, “I’ve done a lot of genre works so far. Actors sometimes experience mental breakdowns while doing difficult works, but personally, I found healing in this work.

Park Hae-soo continued, “When I received the proposal for the project, I felt a lot of emotions the production team had experienced during the shooting. I could feel the sincerity they had put into preparing for this. I hope that sincerity is well conveyed to viewers.”

Park Hae-soo added, “I sympathized with different perspectives on nature, and I actively participated with the thought that it was time to be more aware about this problem. I think the time has come when actors can exert a positive influence with their popularity. I’m glad to be working with senior Han Ji-min.”

“Whales and I” is a documentary about whales, the largest, longest-living and farthest-migrating mammals on Earth, yet one of the least known animals. Shot in ultra-high-definition 8K, this documentary captures all the secrets of whales in a total of 4 episodes.

Actors Han Ji-min and Park Hae-soo participated as narrators. The first broadcast is scheduled for Nov 18th.
