In 2023, various acting projects featuring actress Park Gyu Young will be released on the OTT platform Netflix.
Park Gyu Young, born in 1993, debuted in the music video for Jo Kwon’s solo song “Crosswalk” in 2016. She later assumed supporting roles in various dramas such as “Just Between Lovers” (Rain or Shine), “The Third Charm”, “Romance is a Bonus Book”, and “The Nokdu Flower”.
In the 2020 drama “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay”, Park Gyu Young received attention with her role as Nam Joo Ri, a nurse in her 7th year at a mental hospital. Afterwards, she made her name known with appearances in “Sweet Home”, “The Devil Judge”, and “Dali and Cocky Prince”.
In 2023, Park Gyu Young is set to star in the Netflix original series “Celebrity”, as well as seasons 2 and 3 or “Sweet Home”.
Scheduled for release in the 2nd quarter of 2023, “Celebrity” is a mystery-thriller series that depicts the glamorous but intense bare faces of celebrities. Here, a woman jumped into a world of money as soon as she became famous, and faced various obstacles.
Park Gyu Young will transform into Seo Ah Ri in “Celebrity”, who becomes famous overnight and had her life turned upside-down. She will be starring alongside Lee Cheong Ah, Lee Dong Gun, and Jun Hyo Seong.
After “Celebrity”, Park Gyu Young will appear in the 2nd and 3rd season of Netflix’s “Sweet Home”. Based on a webtoon of the same name, “Sweet Home” tells the bizarre and shocking story of a reclusive high school student living in a room with the scars of school violence, who loses his family and moves to an apartment.
In “Sweet Home”, Park Gyu Young assumes the role of Yoon Ji Soo, a band bassist who resides in the same apartment and survived the monster invasion in season 1. In the next 2 seasons of “Sweet Home”, original cast members Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si Young, and Go Min Si will be returning, while Yu Oh Seong, Kim Mu Yeol, Jin Young, and Oh Jung Se will join as new actors.
In addition to “Celebrity” and “Sweet Home”, Park Gyu Young is currently filming the webtoon adaptation “Today’s Lovely Dog” with Cha Eun Woo.
“Today’s Lovely Dog” depicts a romance between a woman who is cursed to turn into a dog when she kisses a member of the opposite sex, and a man who is afraid of dogs. Here, Cha Eun Woo plays Jin Seo Won, the male lead who is afraid of dogs, and Park Gyu Young plays Han Hae Na, who is cursed to turn into a dog from midnight to dawn when she kisses a member of the opposite sex.
