Park Eun Bin, who has been in the industry for 27 years, reveals who motivated her to debut 

This year marks the 27th anniversary of Park Eun Bin’s debut. Let’s find out her motives for debut!

Park Eun Bin received much love for playing Woo Young Woo, a lawyer with autism, in the drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, which ended with its highest viewership rating of 17.5% on August 18th. She recently made a guest appearance on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block”. 

Park Eun Bin, who started out as a child actress, talked about the excitement at her first fan meeting held recently after 27 years of her debut, and the advertisement deals she got after the success of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”. 

In particular, in the case of advertisements, she said, “I am doing them properly.” Yoo Jae Suk then did a gesture that implied the money she got from those advertisements must have been good, she corrected his fingers and turned it into a finger heart, meaning “Thank you”, drawing laughter. 

In her 27th year of debut, Park Eun Bin said that she was often referred to as an “elderly actress” as a joke between fellow actors, since made her debut at the age of 5 in 1996. 

She revealed actor Kim Eung Soo, the 1st gen idol group H.O.T., actress Baek Ji Won, who plays CEO of the Hanbada law firm in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, as the people who motivated her to debut. For foreign stars, she mentioned Dwayne Jones and Spice Girls.

Park Eun Bin, who is called a “senior” because of her lengthy career, said, “There are more and more juniors now. I thought I would get called sunbaenim, but they call me a teacher.” She added that even middle-aged actors who debuted later than her considered her their senior. 

In fact, Jeon Bae Soo, who played Park Eun Bin’s father in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, said that Kim Won Hae talked to Park Eun Bin by calling her “Park Eun Bin sunbaenim” while working with her. 

When asked how she started acting at a young age, Park Eun Bin said, “When I was a child, my mother watched an educational documentary. She was impressed by the story of British children running down the stairs and reciting Shakespeare before they were 10 years old.”

She continued, “When I went to Yeouido, there was an acting academy, so I went there. That’s when I started appearing in children’s clothing model movies and dramas.”

Yoo Jae Suk asked if she had ever gone through a shaky period such as puberty, and Park Eun Bin said, “Since I was young, whenever I questioned my path, I thought that I would build a foundation so that I could do other things. Rather, I wanted to find a path that suits me, so listening to my inner voice is the key to being consistent.”

Park Eun Bin has been known for her good image since her child actor days. She maintained high grades at school even when she was active as an actress. She even served as the class president and student president.

Park Eun Bin works diligently in everything. Without being too greedy to get rid of her child star’s image, Park Eun Bin does her best in every role she takes on and was naturally reborn as a successful adult actress.
