On March 3, the public was stunned when Park Bom posted a “letter” on social media accusing Sandara Park (Dara) of using drugs and claiming she was protected by YG Entertainment chairman Yang Hyun Suk. The post quickly went viral across K-pop communities. However, it was later deleted, and people close to the singer explained that the incident occurred while Park Bom was reportedly experiencing health issues.
By March 4, the situation escalated further when Dara addressed the accusations again on Instagram, firmly denying them. “I have never used drugs. I hope she is okay,” the singer wrote. Shortly afterward, Dara unfollowed Park Bom on social media, signaling a firm stance against the allegations made by her longtime groupmate. CL is the next member who also unfollowed fellow member Park Bom.

This move led many fans to worry that the friendship between the two 2NE1 members—who had shared more than a decade of history—may have been seriously damaged.
Not long after, Park Bom responded with a move that quickly drew attention online. The singer unfollowed all the other 2NE1 members on Instagram. However, what surprised netizens the most was that she continued to follow only one account: Lee Min Ho.

Lee Min Ho has previously been dragged into controversy involving Park Bom. In the past, the singer caused a stir when she referred to the actor as her “husband” on Instagram. As speculation spread, Lee Min Ho eventually clarified publicly that he had no personal relationship with Park Bom.

Because of this history, Park Bom now following only Lee Min Ho once again has fueled intense discussion online. Many netizens believe the move could unintentionally pull the Boys Over Flowers star back into a drama he has no connection to.
Public reaction to the situation has been divided. Some fans have expressed sympathy for Park Bom, hoping she can recover both physically and mentally. Others, however, argue that the singer should take responsibility for her actions and step away from social media to focus on her treatment rather than repeatedly creating controversies that affect other artists.
Park Bom, born in 1984, debuted with 2NE1 in 2009. Alongside her group activities, she also built a successful solo career with hits such as You and I and Don’t Cry. However, her career faced a major setback following a 2014 controversy involving banned medication brought into South Korea, which led to widespread backlash from the public.

The singer has also been known to struggle with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and other health issues, which have reportedly affected both her wellbeing and public image over the years.
After spending years largely out of the spotlight, Park Bom later returned to the stage with 2NE1 for tours across Asia. Still, she has continued to attract attention for various social media controversies, including repeatedly mentioning Lee Min Ho, using unusual photo filters, and creating multiple Instagram accounts.
Most recently, the singer has stepped back from several 2NE1 activities due to health concerns. However, the latest developments suggest that the controversy surrounding her—and the group—may be far from over.
