Orbits (LOONA’s fandom) boycotts LOONA’s comeback

The protest of the fandom against the group’s future comeback is a rare case in K-biz.

Recently, BlockBerry Creative (BBC), LOONA’s management company, released a poster hinting at the group comeback with the text “What’s next [ ]?” on January 3rd, 2023. However, the return schedule was not welcomed by Orbits as they were vocally against it and demanded the group to ‘disband’.

The reason behind this protest was LOONA’s member Chuu being ‘removed’ from her group BBC, followed by the news of 9 out of 12 members (except Vivi and Hyunjin) suspending their respective exclusive contracts with the agency. There is also information that BBC has not paid LOONA and overworked the members to the point of falling sick.

Nevertheless, BBC disregarded the rumors and proceeded with a comeback schedule in January next year, which came into criticism from fans.
