“One Hundred Won Butler” has completed its casting of amazing actors and is preparing to meet the viewers.

MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “One Hundred Won Butler” (directed by Shim So-yeon, Park Seon-young/ scripted by Lee Sun-hye/ produced by IWill Media), which is scheduled to air in October 2022, depicts the mutual aid project between Baek Dong-ju (Lee Hye-ri), a funeral director who listens to the requests of the dead, and butler Kim (Lee Joon-young), who runs a daily errand service. Listening to every story between the dead and the living, the two butlers are expected to present dynamic performances. The requests, which feel warm but also give chills, sound ironic but break the heart of many people, will give deep empathy to the viewers through pleasant laughs.

The fact that the drama is produced by a team of young people also raises expectations. Director Shim So-yeon, who gained recognition for directing “Here’s My Plan” and “Welcome 2 Life”, and screenwriter Lee Sun-hye, who wrote “participated in the “Reply” series and “20th Century Boy and Girl”, will join hands to make “One Hundred Won Butler”.

Lee Hye-ri will make her comeback on the screen as Baek Dong-ju, a funeral director who grants wishes of the dead. She has an extraordinary ability to be able to communicate with the dead. If the dead’s last wishes are not fulfilled, she will have to endure days without luck. Fans are looking forward to seeing Lee Hye-ri’s new transformation to maximize the charm of Baek Dong-ju, who listens to the stories of the dead and sympathizes with them.

Lee Joon-young will play the ace butler Kim, who is the one and only employee of the daily errand service “Ildangbaek (One Hundred Won)”. Butler Kim is a man with reversed charms who can be clumsy but also strong at important moments. He will run to wherever his customers are and help them with everything they want. He gets involved in a life-and-death project with Baek Dong-ju. Lee Joon-young, who has established himself as a main character actor, is expected to show an impressive performance. In particular, his exciting chemistry with Lee Hye-ri is also raising expectations.

Song Deok-ho will play Seo Hae-an, a policeman who likes Baek Dong-ju. Seo Hae-an, who keeps showing his endless trust and affection for Baek Dong-ju, is expected to draw attention to his passionate performance in presenting his extraordinary pure love. Han Dong-hee will appear as Tak Chung-ha, butler Kim’s ex-lover and an ED resident.  She’s a confident woman who does well in studying, dating, and playing. Many drama fans are curious about the new face that Han Dong-hee will show when transforming into the bold and honest girl Tak Chung-ha.

Above all, the lineup also includes many trustworthy actors. Tae In-ho will play the role of Im Il-seop, the guardian of funeral director Baek Dong-ju. As a funeral director, he does not miss any opportunity to satisfy the families with his neat, reliable appearance and perfect skills. However, he’s a person who hides deep scars behind his nice face.

Lee Kyu-han will be appearing in the drama as “Vincent”, the youngest uncle of butler Kim and the representative of “One Hundred Won” errand service. Vincent will show off his outstanding visual that captivates the hearts of mothers in the neighborhood. Lee Kyu-han’s charm is raising high expectations.

Oh Dae-hwan will add vitality to the role of Michael, who is Baek Dong-ju’s maternal uncle the priest of Bongsu-dong Cathedral. He is the only person who knows Baek Dong-ju’s ability to talk to the deceased. Michael portrayed by Oh Dae-hwan is expected to hold the key to the secret of the drama.

The production team of “One Hundred Won Butler” shared, “This is a work in which the synergy created by the characters with strong personalities is as important as its unique material. You can look forward to the performance of the actors who will double the charms of their characters”, adding “The various stories and requests of the dead, who have not yet been revealed their innermost feelings to the living, will give warm laughter and sympathy.”
