Actor Ok Taec-yeon announced a new challenge. He will transform into a passionate detective.
tvN’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Blind” (written by Kwon Ki-young, directed by Shin Yong-hwi) released the second part of “Death Trial Journal” written by the main character Ok Taec-yeon (as Ryu Sung-joon) on Sep 2nd.
Previously, the first part contained writer Kwon Ki-young’s writing points. This time, Ok Taec-yeon introduced his character and attractive points of “Blind”.
First of all, Ok Taec-yeon revealed the reason for his appearance, “I’ve always liked mystery or thriller genre. The intertwined relationships of the characters and the strange psychological warfare of doubting each other were attractive.”
He will take on a new acting challenge. He explained, “It was a genre I had never tried before, so I had a lot of greed to try it. I felt more interested since my character is an unusually passionate detective.”
Regarding his role, Ok Taec-yeon said, “Sung-joon was born as the second son of a solid family. However, he feels left out as he can’t get along well with his family members. It’s impressive to see him do everything whenever a criminal case occurs.”
He also felt compassion for his character. He confessed, “In particular, Sung-joon goes through many difficulties and hardships while pursuing a serial murder case. That process was frustrating.”
He added, “Sung-joon continues to fight alone and can’t rely on anyone. His great charm is that he tries not to lose his justice until the end with a strong will to catch the real culprit.”
Ok Taec-yeon also pointed out the drama’s attractive points. He hinted, “As the whole story is revealed piece by piece, Sung-joon faces a shocking truth. His emotional change is the most important point.”
Finally, he said, “You’ll be able to feel fresh shock and fun through our drama. We ask for a lot of anticipation and love until the last broadcast.”
“Blind” is a mystery thriller drama. It follows the story of ordinary people who have unfairly become victims to different crimes, their perpetrators, and those who try to catch the perpetrators. It will premiere at 10:40 PM on Sep 16th.
