Oh Yoon-ah & Han Chae-young Mention Bad Broadcasting Experiences, “They Zoomed In My Chest & Swore At Me”
Oh Yoon-ah and Han Chae-young shared anecdotes about broadcasting stations that made them angry
MBC Every1 & Lifetime’s entertainment program “Men on Fire” broadcast on September 26th featured the guest appearance of Han Chae-young and Oh Yoon-ah, the two representative beauties of the Korean entertainment industry.
Han Chae-young revealed the the story of broadcasting staff who made her shudder. Han Chae-young angrily said, “Some entertainment shows don’t tell you what you’re going to do until you arrive on the set. This one was filmed overseas and they wanted me to swim in ice water. During the shoot, my muscles became stiff and my arms couldn’t move. I almost had hypothermia”.
She smiled and continued, “I sent a long text to the CEO. Come to think of it now, the main writer of the show at that time is here”. Hearing that, Lee Kyung-gyu said, “Bring ice water and pour it on them”. Oh Yoon-ah added, “If I were here, I would go crazy. Are you guys crazy?”.
Han Chae-young can’t stand people who are late for appointments. She said, “I’ve been married for 17 years. After getting married, my husband would come at exactly 12 o’clock at first. But at some point, it gradually became 2 – 3 minutes late or even 10 minutes late”.
She shared, “It wasn’t really something to be angry about, but I shouted ‘Why are you so late?’ without realizing it. My blood pressure went up and I got double nose bleeding. I actually have low blood pressure”, drawing laughter.
Oh Yoon-ah also mentioned an uncomfortable experience she had on the set due to prejudices against her because she was a former racing model. The actress surprised everyone when she said, “It was a dancing scene but they zoomed in on my chest. It was such an unnecessary scene”.
Oh Yoon-ah used to be a racing model so she had many photos with exposure. In this regard, she said, “I dressed neatly (on purpose). I wore a turtleneck in the middle of summer when having a meal with Lee Bo-young. I was stressed out due to neurosis so I couldn’t wear anything else”.
Han Chae-young expressed her sympathy and revealed that directors she met in the past even swore at her on the set. Male directors called her XX while female directors called her X. The actress said she replied to the rude directors, saying “I thought my name was ‘You X ah’”, drawing admiration from everyone.
