Oh My Girl’s Seunghee Has Been A Workaholic For 10 Years Because Of Money?

MBC’s “Radio Star” broadcast on July 3rd will feature the guest appearance of Ok Joo-hyun, Ahn Hyun-mo, Jo Hyun-ah and Oh My Girl’s Seunghee.

During the recording, Seunghee successfully gained recognition from Kim Gu-ra for her talent of attracting attention within a short time with her stage experience ever since she was young. In addition, Seunghee also told an anecdote of how she united the members of Oh My Girl. Upon hearing the story, Ok Joo-hyun exclaimed, “That’s so different from Fin.K.L”.

Seunghee, who has been an idol for 10 years, shared, “There used to be the culture of idols going around waiting rooms to greet each other, but there’s nothing like that now. I waited for others to come and greet us but…”, referring to the changes in the idol culture after the COVID-19 pandemic. Ok Joo-hyun commented, “Whenever I go to broadcasting stations, I always greet the juniors politely”.

Reuniting with Judge Ok Joo-hyun, whom she met during the audition for “Superstar K2”, Seunghee wondered why Ok Joo-hyun made her sing the Korean national anthem back then. In response, Ok Joo-hyun touched Seunghee as she said, “I guess I wanted to see Seung-hee’s raw vocal without decorations when I made you sing the national anthem. It’s like washing dirt off jewels”.

Revealing that she became a workaholic because of money, Seunghee shared, “I’m supporting my family financially. I’ve lived a clean life for 10 years without a dating rumor. I’ve been fulfilling the duty as a good daughter that I wanted to do”. When Seunghee said she entrusted her bank account to her mother, Ok Joo-hyun advised, “No. After showing how much you are a good daughter to your family, you should have your own bank account”.
