Oh My Girl: Junior Groups No Longer Do Greetings, They Just Say Hi when Passing By

On August 29 (Thursday), Oh My Girl appeared on KBS Cool FM’s “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show.”

During the show, DJ Park Myung-soo asked about recent activities, mentioning, “I did a duet with Hyojung, but we didn’t even meet up,” to which Hyojung added, “We recorded separately.”

Park Myung-soo then expressed his regret, saying, “The song couldn’t pass the broadcast review for some reason, so it couldn’t be aired. It could have been a sleeper hit.”

Park Myung-soo continued, “I’m not particularly close with the members of Oh My Girl, but I think of them fondly. It’s not like I message them every week, but whenever I see them, they’re always bright and bring good vibes.”

When asked by Park Myung-soo if junior groups still come to greet them at music shows, Oh My Girl responded, “The culture has changed, so they don’t come to greet us anymore.” When asked if they just ignore them, Oh My Girl replied, “We don’t ignore them; we often greet each other as we pass by.”

Regarding the secret to their decade-long success, Oh My Girl said, “Our members are very respectful of each other. Since we don’t cross boundaries, there are no major conflicts, and everything flows smoothly.”

Park Myung-soo joked, “Is it because you don’t see each other often?” Oh My Girl laughed and replied, “That could be part of it. We value personal time.”
