The MV for NewJeans’ latest song, “Cool With You” has been released with 2 versions featuring Jung Ho Yeon and Tony Leung.
On July 20th at 0:00, NewJeans released the Side A and B versions of the MV for their new song “Cool With You”.
In the Side A version, Jung Ho Yeon is shown in the position of a cupid, who is in charge of connecting other couples. However, she later falls in love with a man whom she accidentally meets. Jung Ho Yeon also revealed a bold scene of full-body exposure in the MV, drawing attention.
In the subsequently released Side B version, Jung Ho Yeon and the man continue their love story until Tony Leung suddenly appears, seemingly erasing the man’s memories. The video also captures Jung Ho Yeon’s shocked expression upon seeing Tony Leung. In addition, some of the lyrics for NewJeans’ upcoming song “Get Up” were also revealed in this version.
Earlier, NewJeans’s agency, ADOR, teased that 2 global stars will appear in the MV for NewJeans’ “Cool With You”. This led netizens to speculate that Jung Ho Yeon and BTS member V might be the ones appearing.
On the other hand, netizens who witness Tony Leung’s appearance left comments such as, “How did they manage to cast Tony Leung?”, “Wow, a true world star appeared”, “I’m curious about the next part of the music video”, “I never expected to see Tony Leung in a Korean idol music video”, and “Tony Leung is so cool.”
Meanwhile, NewJeans will release their second mini album titled “Get Up” on July 21st. Prior to the album release, they unveiled various pre-release songs, including “Super Shy”, “New Jeans”, and “Cool With You”.
NewJeans’ 2nd mini album consists of a total of 6 songs, including the pre-release songs “Super Shy”, “NewJeans”, and “Cool With You”, alongside “ETA”, “ASAP”, and “Get Up”.
