nidhhi agerwal crowd harassment incident

Indian actress Nidhhi Agerwal was reportedly subjected to harassment after being surrounded by a massive crowd during a promotional appearance at a shopping mall in Kukatpally, India, sparking widespread outrage online.

According to The Tatva, the incident occurred when Nidhhi Agerwal attended a promotional event for her upcoming film The Raja Saab. While exiting the mall, the actress was suddenly surrounded by an overwhelming number of people who rushed toward her to request autographs and photos.

Viral footage circulating on social media shows thousands of people pushing past security barriers to get closer to the actress. The situation quickly escalated into chaos, with loud shouting and crowd surges making it nearly impossible for security personnel to maintain control.

Amid the disorder, several men allegedly took advantage of the situation and physically harassed and groped the actress.

Visibly shaken, Nidhhi Agerwal struggled alongside her bodyguards to escape the crowd and reach her vehicle. Even after getting into the car, she appeared distressed—adjusting her disheveled outfit and covering her face in frustration and shock.

According to India Today, local police later confirmed that the event organizers had not obtained official permission for such a large public gathering. Authorities also stated that no formal security measures had been arranged to manage a crowd of that size.

The lack of preparation and crowd control has since become a focal point of public criticism.

Following the spread of the video, netizens expressed anger and concern, condemning the organizers for failing to protect the actress. Many demanded accountability, emphasizing that such negligence puts celebrities—especially women—at serious risk.

Deccan Chronicle cited a source close to the actress, revealing that Nidhhi Agerwal was deeply traumatized by the incident and reportedly suffered from anxiety and sleeplessness afterward.

“She was extremely shaken,” the source stated. “Being trapped in a chaotic crowd without proper security is terrifying. The organizers must take responsibility.”

Born in 1993, Nidhhi Agerwal is a well-known Indian actress who first gained attention after competing in Miss Diva Universe 2014. She made her acting debut in the Hindi film Munna Michael (2017), followed by her first major Telugu film Savyasachi (2018).

Known for her striking visuals and strong screen presence, Nidhhi has amassed a massive fanbase, with nearly 30 million followers on Instagram.

The incident has reignited discussions about celebrity safety, event management accountability, and the urgent need for stricter crowd control measures at public appearances.
