“Every song is a love letter to time.” After 21 years in the industry, Nicholas Tse (張棟樑) is finally keeping his promise to fans with the launch of his highly anticipated tour The 21st Story, starting January 10, 2025, at the Kaohsiung Music Center.
The tour marks a major milestone for the Mandopop balladeer, known for his timeless hits like “Tears of Polaris” (北極星的眼淚) and “Who Will You Think of When You’re Lonely” (當你孤單你會想起誰). This concert will be Tse’s first-ever solo performance in Kaohsiung, a city he describes as full of warmth and passion: “The fans are as enthusiastic as the sun!” he quipped.

Set to transform the venue into a massive singalong session, Tse is inviting fans to join him vocally especially on “Tears of Polaris,” the beloved theme song from a classic drama. “I’ll be handing the mic to the audience for this one,” he teased.
In a special twist, each stop of the tour will include a “city-exclusive song” as a hidden track, a personal musical tribute tailored to the local crowd. “I want to leave a unique memory with each city,” Tse said, hinting he’s already choosing a song that reflects his personal journey in Kaohsiung.

Reflecting on his early career, Tse recalled doing promo events and university shows in the southern port city. Despite the blazing sun, he remembers Kaohsiung’s energy vividly: “The weather was hot, but the fans’ passion always surpassed the temperature.”
Currently in the midst of a multi-city Asia tour, Tse says he’s in “combat mode,” maintaining a strict routine of morning runs and boiled eggs. His Kaohsiung stop is a heartfelt return and a long-awaited gift to fans who’ve stood by him for over two decades.
Tickets for Nicholas Tse’s “The 21st Story” Kaohsiung concert go on sale November 7 at 6PM via KKTIX.
