Girl group NewJeans was honored with Daesang Artist of the Year at the 2023 AAA
At the 2023 Asia Artst Awards in the Philippines was held at the Philippines Arena on December 14th, NewJeans received the trophy for Daesang Artist of the Year. As a result, NewJeans achieved a total of 6 awards, including 2 Daesangs (Artist of the Year & Song of the Year).
Delivering their Daesang acceptance speech, NewJeans members said, “This is our second time attending AAA, and we could never imagined that we would receive two Daesangs at the same time. We’re so grateful to be given such a big award. First of all, we think of our fans Bunnies. We want to thank you guys for supporting us and giving us so much strength ever since our debut. Thank you to our members for always saying nice words and being by each other’s side”.
They added, “ADOR family members, staff and managers who are always with us, thank you so much. As we received such a big award, we will continue working hard to be a group NewJeans that can repay you with better music and performances”.
Meanwhile, 2023 AAA was attended by 34 singers and 22 actors in all countries of Asia. The signer lineup includes NewJeans, SEVENTEEN BSS, The Boyz, LE SSERAFIM, Lim Young-woong, ZB1, Kim Jae-joong, Kep1er, Lee Young-ji, ITZY, BEN&BEN, Sakurazaka46, SB19, etc. Actors who showed up at the event were Kim Seon-ho, Kim Se-jeong, Moon Ga-young, Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Jun-ho, Sakaguchi Kentaro, Kathryn Bernardo, etc.
The 2023 AAA was also broadcast live exclusively in Korea via the global fandom platform Weverse.
