NewJeans tops 2023 October Girl Group Brand Reputation Ranking

NewJeans took first place in the 2023 October Girl Group Brand Reputation Ranking, followed by IVE and BLACKPINK

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute indexed 49,593,553 brand big data of girl groups from September 9th, 2023 to October 9th, 2023 by measuring consumer participation, social media, communication and community indices. Compared to the girl group brand big data of 54,329,852 in September, it decreased by 8.72%.

In the girl group brand reputation analysis, brand big data was analyzed with participation index, media index, communication index and community index. The brand reputation index is an index that extracts brand big data and analyzes consumer behavior through reputation analysis algorithms, then classifies and weighs participation value, communication value, media value, community value and social value.

Top 30 of the 2023 October Girl Group Brand Reputation Ranking are NewJeans, IVE, BLACKPINK, TWICE, LE SSERAFIM, (G)I-DLE, Oh My Girl, aespa, Red Velvet, Girls’ Generation, Apink, StayC, WJSN, H1-KEY, Mamamoo, NMIXX, Girl’s Day, ELRIS, fromis_9, ITZY, April, Kep1er, Loona, Ladies’ Code, Cignature, EXID, Dreamcatcher, Rocket Punch, Brave Girls and tripleS.

In first place, NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) was analyzed to have a brand reputation index of 5,661,944 with the participation index of 431,460, media index of 1,076,152, communication index of 1,672,128, community index of 2,482,204. Compared to last month’s brand reputation index of 7,674,756, it fell 26.23%.

In second place, IVE (Gaeul, Yujin, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) was analyzed to have a brand reputation index of 4,207,863 with the participation index of 309,808, media index of 854,898, communication index of 966,875, community index of 2,076,281. Compared to last month’s brand reputation index of 3,421,212, it rose 22.99%.

In third place, BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) was analyzed to have a brand reputation index of 3,674,425 with the participation index of 473,892, media index of 545,403, communication index of 1,007,108, community index of 1,648,022. Compared to last month’s brand reputation index of 4,475,289, it fell 17.90%.

In fourth place, TWICE (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu) was analyzed to have a brand reputation index of 2,832,432 with the participation index of 88,672, media index of 691,751, communication index of 401,397, community index of 1,650,612. Compared to last month’s brand reputation index of 2,841,560, it fell 0.32%.

In fifth place, LE SSERAFIM was analyzed to have a brand reputation index of 2,687,158 with the participation index of 179,520, media index of 484,745, communication index of 782,020, community index of 1,240,873. Compared to last month’s brand reputation index of 3,329,951, it fell 19.30%.

Director Koo Chang-hwan of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute said, “As a result of girl groups’ brand reputation analysis in October 2023, the brand NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) was analyzed as No.1. Girl group brand category analysis of brand big data in October 2023 showed a 8.72% decrease compared to 54,329,852 big data of girl groups brands in September 2023. According to the detailed analysis, brand consumption fell by 28.84%, brand issue fell by 11.02%, brand communication fell by 24.35% and brand spread increased by 6.46%.”

He added, “In the link analysis, the brand NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) was linked with ‘select, record, reveal’, while in their keyword analysis, ‘Billboard, GODS, LoL World Championship’ appeared the most. In the analysis of the positive/negative ratio, the positive ratio was analyzed as 89.82%. According to the detailed analysis, brand consumption fell by 59.85%, brand issue fell by 38.35%, brand communication fell by 33.53% and brand spread increased by 6.13%.”
