The group NewJeans lends its strength to the highly anticipated Netflix series ‘Into Your Time’.
On the 23rd, NewJeans is reported to sing the OST ‘Beautiful Restraint’ for Netflix’s new series ‘Into Your Time’ (written by Choi Hyo-bi, directed by Kim Jin-won).
Multiple broadcasting officials said, “NewJeans has remade Kim Jong-seo’s ‘Beautiful Restraint'” and said, “‘Beautiful Restraint’ will be one of the OSTs to be inserted into ‘Into Your Time.'”
‘Into Your Time’ is a drama that portrays the mystery romance of Jun-hee (played by Jeon Ye-bin), who misses her boyfriend who passed away a year ago and time-slips to 1998, where she meets Shi-heon (played by Ahn Hyo-seop), who looks exactly like her boyfriend, and his friend In-gyu (played by Kang Hoon).
As the original Taiwanese drama ‘A Little Thing Called First Love’ was highly popular, the anticipation for this adaptation has been high even before its release. Netflix’s expectations are also significant. Especially, since time-slipping is based on a ‘song’ from the past, they put a lot of effort into the OST production.
One source mentioned, “With ‘Into Your Time’ being released worldwide, they considered overseas viewers and put a lot of effort into it. One of the reasons they cast NewJeans, who are popular not only in Korea but also overseas.”
With the synergy between the highly anticipated series and a popular group, ‘Into Your Time’ will be released on Netflix on September 8th.
