NewJean’s ‘OMG’ breaks its own highest ranking again, 77th on the US Billboard ‘Hot 100’ chart

NewJeans has been on the US Billboard chart ‘Hot 100’ for 4 consecutive weeks, renewing its own highest ranking.

According to the latest chart (as of February 11) released by Billboard on the 7th (local time), NewJeans’ title song ‘OMG’ of the same name ranked 77th on the single chart ‘Hot 100’, up 2 notches from the previous week.

‘OMG’ first entered Billboard’s ‘Hot 100’ on January 28th at No. 91, then went on to No. 79 (as of February 4th) and is raising the ranking every week. Unlike the general trend of drawing a downward curve as time goes on, this is a glimpse into the growing interest and popularity among music fans across the globe for NewJeans.

The song ‘Ditto’ from the single album ‘OMG’ ranked 90th on Billboard’s ‘Hot 100’ this week and charted for four consecutive weeks. In particular, as both ‘OMG’ and ‘Ditto’ were achievements achieved without local activities or promotions in the US, it shows their infinite growth potential.

The debut song ‘Hype boy’, released in August of last year, is still gaining popularity. “Hype boy” was ranked 34th and 62nd on the US Billboard’s “Global (excluding the US)” and “Global 200,” respectively. Another debut song, ‘Attention’, also ranked 108th and 152nd on the two charts, respectively.

In addition, NewJeans’ debut album ‘New Jeans’ is also running backwards. On the Billboard ‘Heat Seekers Albums’ chart, which targets albums by up-and-coming artists, ‘NewJeans’ ranked 7th, up 3 notches from the previous week.
