‘Hype boy’ is one of the triple title tracks from NewJeans’ debut album released in August of the previous year. It became a mega-hit with numerous parodies and memes circulating on social media, receiving immense love. The song continues to be popular both domestically and internationally, recently surpassing 4 billion streams on the world’s largest music streaming platform, Spotify.

Notably, NewJeans has achieved three ‘Platinum’ certifications from the Japan Record Association this year alone, and they also quickly reached 100 million streams on Oricon for a single song (‘Ditto’) among overseas female artists. Their remarkable achievements, even before their official debut in Japan, raise high expectations for their future endeavors.
