NewJeans showcased their unparalleled presence by sweeping grand prizes at major domestic awards ceremonies this year, such as the 2023 MAMA Awards, MMA 2023 and 2023 AAA. Despite being in the industry for only 2 years, they have become an undisputed force, making a successful debut with the “Hype Boy” syndrome in their first year and continuing their momentum with hit releases like “Ditto” and “OMG”. Their songs consistently dominated domestic music charts, with “Ditto” achieving a record-breaking 99 days at the top of the Melon daily chart and 14 consecutive weeks at the top of the weekly chart. In the latter half of the year, songs from their EP “Get Up”, such as “Super Shy” and “ETA”, solidified their position as the “Top Music Powerhouse”.

The group’s global impact was evident as they reached No.1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 with “Get Up” within a year of their debut, and 3 of their songs simultaneously entered the main song chart “Hot 100”. Their success continued with winning the Top Global K-Pop Artist Award at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, achieving this milestone just 1 year and 4 months after their debut.
