Girl group NewJeans continues an upward trend in the major charts of the US and UK, continuing an endless “career high”.

With their latest album “Get Up”, NewJeans recorded 15th place on the UK Official Albums Chart, which was released on July 28th (local time). This marks NewJeans’ first entry on the UK Official Albums Chart and the second entry for a Kpop girl group.

One of the triple title tracks from the album, “Super Shy”, also secured the 52nd spot on the UK Official Singles Top 100 chart, achieving its highest rank yet. Previously, the song entered the chart at 59th place, before jumping to 61st and rising again to 52nd, successfully charting for three consecutive weeks.

At the same time, NewJeans continues to soar on major music charts and platforms in the US.

With “Super Shy”, NewJeans reached 9th place on the Spotify Global Weekly Top Songs charts (as of July 27th) and 12th place on the Spotify US Weekly Top Songs, both being the group’s highest rankings. Previously, their highest records on the Spotify Global Weekly Top Songs and Spotify US Weekly Top Songs were 11th place with “Ditto” and 28th place with “OMG”, respectively.

Along with “Super Shy”, NewJeans’ prologue song, “New Jeans”, which was pre-released on the 7th, jumped 71 positions to reach 34th place on the Spotify Global Weekly Top Songs and an impressive 95 positions to reach 41st place on the Spotify US Weekly Top Songs. With such an achievement, “New Jeans” experienced the biggest surge among songs that entered the chart this week.

Furthermore, when “Get Up” was officially released on the 21st, all the remaining tracks also entered the charts. In Spotify Global Weekly Top Songs, “Cool With You” landed at 28th, “ETA” at 38th, “ASAP” at 65th, “Get Up” at 86th. Meanwhile, in the Spotify US Weekly Top Songs, “Cool With You” placed at 33rd, “ETA” at 42nd, “ASAP” at 82nd, and “Get Up” at 83rd.

With all six songs from their mini 2nd album making it to the Spotify Global and Spotify US Weekly Top Songs, NewJeans has proven its formidable presence. The fact that all the tracks, not just the title track, are popular and well-loved, indicates NewJeans’ strong position in the mainstream pop market.

Furthermore, when the mini 2nd album “Get Up” was released, it charted on the Spotify Global Daily Top Songs with all its tracks, which spans various positions from the 10th to the 32nd in the US. This is the first time a Kpop girl group manages to enter the Top 50 of the chart with all tracks from an album.

As NewJeans’ popularity continues on Spotify, attention is now focused on whether their song “Super Shy” will rise in the US Billboard Hot 100, and whether there will be additional entries.

As of the moment, only 2 Kpop girl groups have placed two songs on the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously, including NewJeans. Meanwhile, BTS is the only Kpop artist in history to achieve such a feat with 3 or more songs.

Now, NewJeans, who have just celebrated their first debut anniversary, are raising expectations for achieving significant accomplishments in Kpop history.

Meanwhile, on Korean music charts, the situation of “NewJeans vs. NewJeans” has been unfolding. On the FLO and Genie daily charts (as of July 27th), “Super Shy” reached 1st place while “ETA” placed 2nd. On Bugs, the 2 songs also occupy the top two spots, though their positions are reversed. On Melon, “Super Shy’”maintained its 1st place for 18 consecutive days, while ‘ETA’ is attracting popularity as well, ranking 3rd.

At the same time, NewJeans has also demonstrated its powerful presence through physical album sales as well. The group’s latest album surpassed 1.65 million copies in first-week sales just 1 year after debut, which is the 2nd highest first week sales for a Kpop female artist.
