NewJeans is the first K-pop group to perform the theme song for League of Legends
The song “GODS,” which serves as the official theme for the 2023 ‘League of Legends’ World Championship, performed by NewJeans, was composed by Riot Games’ main composers Sebastien Najand and Alex Seaver (Mako). They are the same individuals who contributed to the composition of ‘Legends Never Die,’ ‘RISE,’ and the soundtrack for ‘ARCANE.’
It is worth noting that NewJeans is the first K-pop group to perform the theme song for this prestigious esports tournament as a whole group.
After a five-year gap since 2018, Riot Games is bringing the 2023 World Championship Finals back to South Korea, with the opening ceremony set to take place on October 10th.
